If you have a small home business and would like an opportunity during the holiday season to sell your products in a retail brick and mortar environment, Preston has a great program for you to take advantage of. There are a couple of store fronts that are empty and are in need of retail tenants. The building owners have agreed to give home businesses an opportunity to use their space. Each space can hold up to 4 businesses during the holiday season. If you are an entrepreneur looking for retail space to determine whether your business might benefit from a brick and mortar location this is a perfect opportunity to 'Test the Waters'. If your business is successful during the holiday season it might be a great fit to take advantage of the rental space as the building owners have great incentives for new businesses to move in. There are only three stipulations when agreeing to this opportunity. 1. Your business must be open every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas from at least 10am to 5pm. The business can be open longer hours on Saturday and also all other days including Black Friday if desired. 2. The cost for business participation will be nominal, split between the 4 businesses just to cover utilities during the 4 weeks. 3. The businesses must be retail. Move in days will be Wednesday, November 21 and Thanksgiving day. Businesses will need to vacate the building no later than the evening of Wednesday December 26th. This is on a first come first serve basis. Many people have home based businesses that create sweatshirts, soaps, woodworking, jewelry, baked goods and the list goes on and on. If you are a business who would like to take advantage of this opportunity simply contact the Preston Clerk's office and get your business on the list. Phone number - 563-689-3081
